Description: Taleggio is a smear-ripened Italian cheese; one of the oldest soft cheeses. During cheese making, the cheese is washed with seawater once a week. The maturation takes 6 - 10 weeks forming a thin crust. This cheese has been granted a DOP designation. The cheese has a strong smell, but its taste is relatively mild with an unusual fruity tang.

Wine Pairing: Taleggio can be served with Italian Nebbiolo wines, and also a wide range of Reds and Whites.
Our cheeses can be kept for at least a week from the date of delivery. After opening the initial wrapping paper, we recommend to store the cheeses in a clean, dry cling wrap and store them in the lower compartment of the fridge which is usually not too cold or dry.
