Description: Raclette is a semi-hard cheese made on both sides of the French and Swiss Alps. It is made using ancestral methods with unpasteurised milk of cows grazing on the alpine meadows. The name Raclette comes from the French word "racler", which means "to scrape".
This raclette with Truffle has a very distinctive pleasant, aromatic smell with a creamy texture which does not separate even when melted.
Serving Tips: Raclette is also the name of a Swiss dish where the cheese is melted in front of a fire or a special machine and the melted parts are scraped onto diner's plates. It is then served with small potatoes, gherkins, pickled onions and air dried meat. We recommend 200 to 250g of Raclette cheese per adult.
Weight: Approx. 300g per portion. You can request it to be sliced in the notes to seller.
Wine Pairing: It is best paired with Vin de Savoie
Our cheeses can be kept for at least a week from the date of delivery. After opening the initial wrapping paper, we recommend to store the cheeses in a clean, dry cling wrap and store them in the lower compartment of the fridge which is usually not too cold or dry.
