Grape Varietals :
Syrah 95%, Grenache 5%
Tasting Notes :
L'Origine shows the hallmark spice-laced perfume of this appellation. Lots of red fruits, crushed flowers, spice and violet nuances give way to a medium-bodied, elegant and sweetly fruited 2013 that has fine tannin and a seamless, sexy texture. Drink this beauty anytime over the coming 5-6 years
Villa Symposia was founded in 2003. After traveling the Languedoc region for several months, Eric Prissette stopped at Aspiran, a small village north of Pezenas, where the Clairette (white varietal) dominates. After some research on the land, he found the opportunity to develop red wines. He acquired several plots of Syrah, Carignan and Grenache, started building a cellar and gave a name to this area. Late 2007, Eric decided to partner with Jean Pierre Lebaindre. Today they are still working on finding the best practices to produce great wines according to this specific terroir. Their goal is to develop deep and rich wines, with respect for the authentic Languedoc.
