Tasting notes: This is a fine, smoky wine with great fruit and some firm tannins. It has a touch of minerality and a dry structure.
About the winery: Owners Joseph and Bernadette produce this wine from two hectares of clay limestone soils, with a blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon, given eight months in barrel (30% new oak). Lees stirring adds to the rich, gourmet feel, definitely feel the exuberance of the oak and the Semillon, but also lovely rich fat candied lemon, and a crisp minerality.
