Tasting notes: Upfront blackberry fruits and spice followed by herbaceous notes. Great integration of tannins and fruit, a fantastically modern and versatile Bordeaux.
About the winery: Chateau Fayau is a charming chartreuse style house surrounded by vines in the centre of Cadillac. Most of its wines are produced on the hillsides overlooking the town. The wine-making tradition goes back to 1711, and the Medeville family acquired the property in 1826. Chateau Fayau is the centre of the operation and controls over 100 acres of vines.
