Presentation of the estate

Château Bégadanet viticulture has been based on "sustainable viticulture" since 1998. This method aims to reduce the impact in particular of the phytosanitary protection on the environment by using natural methods. The estate is AOP Médoc appellation and benefits of a very good exposure. These natural conditions and the know-how of his owners allow the production of a great quality wine and good value.

Location : Begadan
Area : 30 hectares
Wine Grape Varieties : 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot. Soil type : Clay and Limestone.

Vine Age : 35 years
Harvest : Mechanical
Winemaking process : Traditional in stainless steel vats. Ageing : 12 months in French oak barrels, wich 30% are new.

Tasting comments

Château Begadanet 2013 has a beautiful garnet colour. On the nose, the wine is rich and complex. It reveals red fruits aromas. The wine is well balanced and elegant. It offers silky tannins.

Food & Wine Pairing

Pairs well with red grilled meat and cheese. Serving condition : Between 16°C and 18°C.


Up to 5 years reflecting the above notes. After this period the wine will show more mature characteristics.
