Description: Trou du cru is a pasteurised cow's milk cheese from Burgundy in France. For a period of three weeks, during its maturation, it is wiped with marc de Bourgogne, a strong alcohol. By this method, one experiences an aroma of alcohol scented with straw. Its strong savor with a floral aftertaste will delight lovers of strong tasting cheeses.
Packing: Approx. 60g per piece
Wine Pairing: The Trou du Cru goes well with Gewurztraminer, Côte de Beaune or Beaujolais.
Our cheeses can be kept for at least a week from the date of delivery. After opening the initial wrapping paper, we recommend to store the cheeses in a clean, dry cling wrap and store them in the lower compartment of the fridge which is usually not too cold or dry.
